Schedule: Friday, May 27 - Pingolf: Tourney Results (LCP open to the public from 3:00-11:00pm) Registration:
Saturday, May 28 - Main Event: Tourney Results LCP will open at 9:30am and Round 1 will start promptly at 10:00am. (LCP will be CLOSED to the general public; tourney guests welcome)
Sunday, May 29 (if necessary): Tourney matches will resume at 10:30am. (LCP open to the public from 3:00-9:00pm) Format: The Spring Classic consists of three rounds of group play, followed by a split of players into two divisions for head-to-head, double elimination bracket finals. Players will be initially ranked by their current WPPR rank and be assigned into three unique, four-player groups, on four unique games per round. The games in a group will consist of an EM, a solid state, a DMD, and a new Stern title. Scoring in the group will be 4,3,2,1 so scores for the round can range between 4 and 16 points. Note that there is no reseeding of groups between the three rounds based on results from the previous round, but everyone will have a total of 9 unique opponents spread across the initial WPPR rankings. After group play, the top half of the field will be placed into the "A" division and the lower half will be placed into the "B" division for a head-to-head, double elimination bracket. The winner's side of the bracket will be best-3-out-of-5 matches and on the loser's side, it will be best 2-out-of-3 matches. Higher seed gets choice of game play or order for Game #1, and then subsequent choice will always be the loser of the previous game. You may only choose a game once for the entire tournament, so you need to choose wisely. The head-to-head play will begin after the group play is done, and we will play through as many rounds as we can on Saturday. The remainder of the matches will be completed on Sunday morning, if we aren't able to finish on Saturday night.
